If you've ever wished you could park your patrol car on a scene, the station or while you stopped to grab lunch, but wanted to keep your vehicle running and secure; wish no more.
With Eco-Lock you'll be able to park the vehicle, activate Eco-Lock and remove the key. It's that simple.
Once engaged the system will allow the engine to continue to run until pre-set parameters are met, such as voltage or interior temperature. The system will shut the vehicle off, while still maintaining power to emergency lights, computer systems and the radio. If the officer does not return to the vehicle before the voltage drops below the threshold, the vehicle will re-start automatically. The system can also be programed to auto start and turn on the heat or air conditioning, regardless of the dash position of the HVAC controls. Great for K9 or supervisor vehicles where the officer may be out of the vehicle for extended periods.
With today's law enforcement officers always focused on situational awareness, it can make the officers job overwhelming and increase stress. With Surveillance Mode, we're able to help make the officer's job a little safer. Surveillance Mode works when the vehicle is placed in park, and monitors the rear [if equiped with reverse sense] and the sides [if equipped with BLIS], notifying to officer if anyone, or anything should approach. Should someone approach, Surveillance Mode alerts the driver with an audible alert, while similtaniously turning the reverse camera on, locking all the doors and rolling up the driver's window [if it is rolled down].
We know your protection is important to you, and it's important to us.
Turn Your Doors Into Shields
With Angel Armors Level IIIA Ballistic Door Panels officers can now have an extra level of protection added to their vehicles. Angel Armor is designed to provide the optimal protection area, while keeping the door lightweight and cost effective. Unlike OEM options which traditionally involve large, heavy steel panels permanently installed which make the door hard to control and cause the door to sag after years of service.
Angel Armor is exceeds NIJ IIIA standard for multi round protection, and the panels can be easily transferable, saving departments money when patrol vehicles are retired and new vehicles put in service.
Angel Armor elevates protection to a higher level, dedicating advanced research, design and testing to the development of pioneering ballistic solutions.
In Law Enforcement many times the element of surprise can be a huge help in stopping crime, or de-escalating a situation before it grows, however with today's new police vehicles agencies have often been told blackout modes "can't be done."
At BUSH, not only can we do it, we can do it without having to cut or splice any of your OEM wiring. We offer a simple plug and play solution that allows us to also provide safety metrics. The office can activate blackout mode to patrol behind a mall, alley or residential street, however once the vehicle reaches a pre-set speed, the system turns off and brake lights, reverse and parking lights return to their normal function.
SYNC & Re-Mappable Switches
Hands free operations can be a huge increase in office safety, allowing the officer to keep both hands on the steering wheel while responding to the alarm. Although hands free siren operation is a standard feature on all BUSH builds, having blue tooth capabilities or steering wheel switches is not.
BUSH does have after marked blue tooth systems, designed specifically for emergency vehicles, which are excellent additions to vehicles ordered without OEM bluetooth or SYNC.
Re-mappable switches can control emergency lights, low frequency howler sirens or even be configured as hidden weapon releases or in some cases, configured to activate the two way radio.
Layout and Configuration
As today's police vehicles get more technologically advanced it becomes even more important to carefully choose equipment to be installed. At BUSH, we believe it's important to build a vehicle that meets your needs today, tomorrow but also a year from now. Building a vehicle that will continue to be configurable as the departments needs grow and expand saves down time and money; and to us that's important.
Consider adding some inexpensive convenience items to make the officers mobile office more compfortable and more productive. A Kussmaul USB charger is a great addition to patrol vehicle that allows officers to charge cell phones or other perihperial devices such as digital evidence cameras or tablets. For vehicles ordered without a Bluetooth option, we can easily retrofit the vehicle to handle bluetooth technology.
A remote temperature sensor is a great tool to monitor icy road conditions, alterting officers for the possibility of motor vehicle accidents or to provide more awareness when responding to alarms.
Ford specifically built the Sedan and Utility Interceptors with law enforcement in mind, and added several inches to the rear seat to allow for more leg room. Although we may not be concerned with the back seat passengers comfort, we do want to focus on thier safety, and the officers safety placing someone in and out of the vehicle. We offer the Setina "Extra Legroom" partition as a standard option, offering more leg room on the rear passenger side, making it easier to place someone in the vehicle.
Setina's Thermoplastic PolyOlefin [TPO] seats and door guards make cleaning easier and faster, and prevent prisoners from hiding contraband in the seats, or from damaging.
Another standard feature we offier is prisoner compartment illumination. With the lack of a dome light in the back of patrol vehicles, and most agencies purchasing the "dark car" feature, the dome lights wouldn't turn on anwyays with an open door.
With out illumination option, we add red, white or both to the prisoner compartment, which turn on automatically when either rear door is opened. A rocker switch is provided on the console to manually turn the lights on while transporting. Not only will the system turn on the interior lights, but with any Whelen WeCan lightbar, we can turn off rear facing modules to prevent the officer from being blinded.
